Now For Sale!
Jordie here from the Ultimate Hockey Fan Cave, yea the guy who is trying to figure out how to use a player stick as a goalie =) Well, first and foremost, thank you. Thank you for everything you’ve done, whether it is tuning into our Live Streams on Instagram, watching our vlogs, reading a blog post, to even simply liking a post — it means everything.
A little back story on The Cave, Kenn and myself. I’m a neighbour of Kenn’s and we started showcasing The Cave online just over 3 years ago and been going hard at sharing it & creating ever since. And by that, I mean we’ve been watching hockey, drinking beer, connecting with the hockey world and showcasing the world’s best hockey fan cave along the way, not too bad a of a gig hey? However, along the way we feel in love with the process of sharing The Cave, seeing people’s reactions, connecting with people across the world with the same passion we have: a love for hockey. We both realized that this was our calling and just had to figure out a way to make it a business, I remember telling Kenn, that if we kept grinding out content, keeping it positive, connecting with people, having fun, sharing our story, blah, blah, blah, you get it…something would definitely come from it. Well, lots has, so far…
On top of connecting with other hockey influencers like Pavel Barber and companies like Hockey Sauce Kit, Howies Hockey tape and many more, we got to connect with random hockey lovers like ourselves. Not celebrities or NHLers, just regular people like us who have day jobs, watch hockey in the evenings and take kids to the rink - those relationships mean everything to us! We’re proud to save we have built some awesome relationships around the world that if the Blade Shades take off, we’d love to do some sort of Travelling Road Show to meet everyone. Hopefully one day!
One of the biggest highlights in The Cave’s history is being featured on NETFLIX’s Original Series: Amazing Interiors, episode #4. As a content creator, influencer, whatever title you want to give what I do for The Cave, getting the Cave on NETFLIX, was a creator’s equivalent of getting drafted into the NHL. Honestly, I have footage of me getting emotional about seeing it on their for the first time (I may share it one day), still surreal that 2 guys and a fan cave have been able to make a dent / impression in the hockey world. Well, we are looking to make a bigger dent in it, and that’s actually having our own product under the Ultimate Hockey Fan Cave brand that can help us leave our day jobs and as we say “do Cave stuff” for a living.
Enter the Blade Shades - Hockey Stick Sunglasses that any hockey fan, player or even just sunglass lovers will enjoy. So far, the reaction, response and everything has been overwhelmingly positive, even from folks who probably won’t buy Blade Shades. They are just happy to see Kenn and I try to make it in this world as hockey fans who took a passion and trying to make it their career, which is awesome to hear and see the support.
What are the Blade Shades? Well, we designed the arms of the sunglasses to be hockey sticks. We have models with tape, without tape, and of course, we couldn’t forget about the goalies. Kenn and I are big fans of the old school hockey and have included a vintage pair (goon glasses) that looks like wood sticks. So you’ve got a variety of models and colours to choose from and this is just the starting point. We plan to have different tape jobs, colours, sizes etc.. in the future, however, like any business, we need the support in Phase 1 to go on to Phase 2. Please check out www.BladeShades.com for all the information you need and to place an order.
With all that being said, if you’ve ever tuned into our Live Streams on Instagram, watched our vlogs, read one or more blog posts, or even simply liking a post, please consider purchasing a pair of Blade Shades, you’re support is going to 2 families and a Fan Cave.
Thanks to everyone for your time, it’s the most precious currency in this world and The Cave, Kenn and I, do not take it for granted.
